12 DAY JOHANNESBURG TO VICTORIA FALLS

DAY 1: PILANESBERG NATIONAL PARK
After meeting your guide and the Johannesburg international airport, we make our way out of the city to Pilanesberg national
park for the first night. After checking in at the lodge your guide will book you an afternoon open vehicle game drive. Among
Southern Africa’s fascinating game reserves, Pilanesberg National Park is possibly the most accessible. Situated in the
ecologically rich transition zone between the Kalahari and the Lowveld, this vast area promises thrilling big game viewing in a
malaria free environment.

DAY 2: MOREMI GORGE (BOTSWANA)
Leaving Pilanesberg after breakfast, we make our way through the park and the make our way to Botswana. Once
through the border it’s a short drive to Moremi Gorge. Once we have checked in at Moremi Gorge, you have some time
to relax or if you have time your guide will drive you down to where they have local guides that will take you for a walk
up the Moremi gorge for an hour or so. Your guide will also accompany you on the walk.

DAY 3: FRANCISTOWN WOODLANDS LODGE
Leaving Moremi late morning, we make our way up the western side of Botswana and to the central part of the country
for our overnight stop is just outside of the second biggest town in Botswana. Woodlands lodge is situated on the old
hunter’s road about 10km outside of Francistown overlooking the Tati River.

DAY 4: KALAHARI
Departing from Woodlands lodge we make our way west towards the Kalahari and our overnight stop is about halfway to
Maun. Once booked into your accommodation, lunch will be ready. Late afternoon you will go on your first game drive in an
open vehicle. Drinks and snacks are available for you to enjoy. Once back from your game drive you will have enough time to
relax before dinner is served

DAY 5: MAUN
This morning you will have a morning game drive at Leroo La Tou before departing for Maun.
Breakfast is served once you come back from your morning drive. Once ready we make our way to Maun for the night. Maun is
the gateway to the Okavango delta. Your guide will also stop along the way and show you some of the very big Baobab trees
that grow in Botswana.
Arriving in Maun early afternoon, your guide will take you to the airport so that we can get all the formalities over for your
flight into the Okavango delta the next day. From there your guide will take you to the hotel where you can relax for the
afternoon

DAY 6 AND 7: OKAVANGO DELTA
This morning your guide will take you to the airport for your flight into the Okavango delta that will take you to the OddBalls
Eco Lodge in the Okavango Delta. Once at the lodge your local guides will take care of you for the next two nights.
The Okavango delta is a world-famous natural resource, unspoilt by man, where the full gamut of African wildlife roam free.

DAY 8: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
After the experience in the Okavango Delta, you will have a short flight to Kasane where you guide will meet you at the airport
and then take you to Chobe Safari lodge for the night.

DAY 9: CHOBE
Rising early this morning you will have an open vehicle game drive in the Chobe National Park for around 3 to 4 hours. Once
back from the game drive you can relax for the rest of the morning. In the afternoon you will have a river cruise on the Chobe
River, this cruise is one of the best cruises in Africa. It takes you once again into the national park, and at time you’ll even see
the elephants crossing the river to the islands

DAY 10: VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE)
After a last river cruise on the Chobe River, you can relax and enjoy a late morning breakfast on the banks of the Chobe River.
After breakfast we make our way to the border crossing between the two countries, where four countries meet. Botswana,
Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Once through the border the drive takes you to the town of Victoria Falls, where you can
relax and enjoy the town for the afternoon.

You can explore the market, and your guide will book you a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls for the afternoon before
returning to your accommodation for the night. The hotel is situated on the bank of the Zambezi River.

DAY 11: VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE)
After enjoying an early breakfast, we make our way down to the Victoria Falls National Park (Mosi-Oa-Tunya, “The Smoke that
Thunders) for a guided tour of the falls. This usually lasts around an hour. Once back your guide will drive you to the Victoria
hotel for the view from the hotel. From there you can relax for a few hours before you have your last night in Africa on a dinner
river cruise on the Zambezi River.

DAY 12: FLIGHT TO JOHANNESBURG (SOUTH AFRICA)
Departing from your hotel after breakfast your guide will drive you to the airport for your flight back to Johannesburg where
you will say farewell to Southern Africa. Once in Johannesburg the hotel will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your
hotel for the night

The tour comes to an end once you have been transferred to the hotel.
