Night out on the Makgadikgadi pan, Meer cat tour<\/p>\n<p><strong>Countries Visited:\u00a0 South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe (Southern Africa)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 1: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK (SOUTH AFRICA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Departing early from Johannesburg we head off the plateau towards the Kruger National Park, stopping en-route for breakfast (<strong>own cost<\/strong>). The Kruger National Park is home to 147 mammal (including the Big 5), 114 reptile, &amp; 502 bird species. Once inside the Kruger we will be on the lookout for wildlife on route to our camp.\u00a0 After setting up camp you will have a chance to relax for a couple of hours before heading out on an evening sunset drive with your experienced Kruger National Park guide.\u00a0 This drive lasts between 3 and 3.5 hours, which gives you the opportunity to see plenty of wildlife.\u00a0 On your return your guide will have dinner ready for you.<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated Tour:\u00a0 Kruger National Park Chalets<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 2: \u00a0KRUGER NATIONAL PARK (SOUTH AFRICA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Starting the day early you will head out on a full day\u2019s open vehicle game drive with an experienced Kruger guide, who will drop you off back at camp in the afternoon.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nMeals:\u00a0 Packed Breakfast &amp; Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated tour:\u00a0 Kruger National Park Chalets<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 3: BLYDE RIVER CANYON (SOUTH AFRICA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Leaving the camp in the Kruger National Park we make our way through the Panoramic Route to where will stay for the night, the Blyderiver Canyon. We visit Golds Window, Burkes Luck Potholes and the Blyderiver Canyon viewpoint before we reach the lodge for the night<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Breakfast &amp; Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated tour: Kruger National Park Chalets<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 4:\u00a0 PRIVATE GAME LODGE (SOUTH AFRICA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Leaving early this morning, we make our way west through South Africa. Our lodge for the night is close to the borders of South Africa and Botswana<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Breakfast &amp; Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated Tour:\u00a0 Private lodge<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 5: NATA LODGE (BOTSWANA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>This morning we make our way through the border and then up to the Makgadikgadi pans. The road takes \u00a0through the country towards Chobe National Park. Our camp for the night borders on the Makgadikgadi Pan. The lodge is situated between the Makalala palms that are found in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>This afternoon you will enjoy a game drive in the Makgadikgadi Pan that your guide will organize for you, once back your guide will have your dinner ready.<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Breakfast &amp; Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated Tour:\u00a0 Nata Lodge<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 6:\u00a0 VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE)<br \/>\n<\/strong>We leave after breakfast today and make our way towards the Zimbabwe border post. \u00a0From the border we drive another hour to the vibrant town of Victoria Falls where we will be spending the next 2 nights.\u00a0 Our camp is situated in the middle of town, within 10 minutes walking distance of just about everything.\u00a0 Your guide will assist you with the bookings of optional activities.\u00a0 The US dollar is the currency to use in Victoria Falls \/ Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n<p>This afternoon we will visit the magnificent Victoria Falls National Park, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.\u00a0 The Falls are 1700 meters (1.1 miles) wide, making it the largest sheet of falling water in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Later on today we will head out on a sunset cruise on the beautiful Zambezi River, the 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0largest river in the world, and the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, with national parks on either side.\u00a0 You have a great opportunity to see animals coming down to the river for a drink, as well as a fantastic variety of bird life.\u00a0 We often see elephants, zebra, blue wildebeest, rhino, buffalo and a variety of antelope species.\u00a0 Obviously, hippo and crocodile are plentiful in this region.\u00a0 All soft drinks, wine, beer and some snacks are included in the cruise.<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Breakfast, Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated tour:\u00a0 N1 Hotel<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 7:\u00a0 VICTORIA FALLS (ZIMBABWE)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Today is free for you to spend as you please.\u00a0 Victoria Falls and the surrounding areas offer a great variety of things to see and do.\u00a0 You will have plenty of time to explore the town, meet the locals, visit the African markets with their wide variety of arts and crafts made from wood, stone and beads, or to relax by the pool at the campsite in the heat of the day.\u00a0 The Victoria Falls region is nicknamed the adventure capital of Africa for a reason.\u00a0 It is well known for its large variety of fantastic activities such as the best one day white water rafting in the world, the 111 meter bungee jump off the bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia, elephant back and horse riding safaris, flights over the waterfall, canoe safaris, fishing trips, game walks, abseiling, gorge swings and much more.<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Breakfast<br \/>\nAccommodated Tour:\u00a0 N1 Hotel<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 8:\u00a0 CHOBE (BOTSWANA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>This morning you have some extra time to explore the town of Victoria Falls before departing for Kasane the small town on the edge of Chobe National Park. You can relax for the afternoon or explore a bit of the surrounding area<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Breakfast &amp; Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated Tour:\u00a0 Twin or double bed chalets with en-suite bathroom<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 9: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK (BOTSWANA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>This morning there is an option early morning game drive (<strong>own cost<\/strong>), this time into the Chobe National Park, returning to camp in time for breakfast.\u00a0 This afternoon we will embark on a river cruise on the Chobe River, widely thought of as being one of the best river cruises in Africa.\u00a0 Apart from a huge variety of birdlife, you may also see crocodile, hippos, and probably even elephants washing and playing in the water.<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Breakfast, Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated tour:\u00a0 Lodge<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 10: \u00a0ELEPHANT SANDS (BOTSWANA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Departing late from Victoria Falls, we make our way back to Botswana we make our way south through the country to Elephant sands. Our overnight stop is at Elephant Sands. Here you more than likely to see the elephants visiting the watering hole while you are enjoying your dinner<\/p>\n<p>Meals:\u00a0 Breakfast, Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated tour:\u00a0 Safari Tents with own bathroom<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 11: GWETA (BOTSWANA)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Leaving Elephants Sands, we make our way down to Nata and then head west towards the small town of Gweta. Once at the lodge your guide will introduce you to the local guides that are taking you out onto the Mgadigadi pan for the night. Tonight you will be sleeping under the African sky.<\/p>\n<p>Meals: Breakfast and Dinner on the Pan<br \/>\nAccommodation: Under African Sky\u2019s<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 12: SOUTH AFRICA<br \/>\n<\/strong>The morning starts off with breakfast on the pan, and then on your way back to Gweta you\u2019ll stop of to meet the meercat\u2019s that live on the pan. Awesome way to start the day. From there we make our way through Botswana back to South Africa. Once through the border we make our way down into the Waterberg and then onto the Eco lodge situated onto of the hill.<\/p>\n<p>Meals: \u00a0Breakfast, Dinner<br \/>\nAccommodated Tour:\u00a0 Lodge<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY13: PILANESBERG NATIONAL PARK<br \/>\n<\/strong>Leaving the Eco Lodge, we make our way down towards the Pilanesberg National Park for our last night of the tour.
